My garden is waking up! I looked out my studio window yesterday and saw a bright spot of yellow amongst last year's dry brown foliage--crocuses! What a nice spark to my day!
Now back into my studio to get some new work done for my May solo show!
In April of 2012 a group of fiber artists will be showing their work at River's Mist Gallery of Fine Art on Main Street in Stevensville, Montana. I have been busy gathering these artists together and communicating with them to get this show organized and provide a strong overview of the level of fiber art that is being created in the Bitterroot and Missoula valleys here in Montana. I am honored to have curated this show and help share the work of these creative women.
The artists include:
Heidi Zielinski, Quilted Fiber Art
Jamie Grant, Quilted Fiber Art
Susan Wetzsteon, Quilted Fiber Art
Mickey Frissell, Quilted Fiber Art
Marcy Frissell, Wearable Art
Kerstin Seifert, Wearable Art
Bev Ralls, Repurposed Fiber Bags/Purses
Shelley Peters, Felted Alpaca Wool Hats
Judy Hartz, Fiber Bowls
Pam Cozby, Fiber Vases/Vessels
This should be an exciting show displaying artwork by some very talented and skilled local artists. I hope you will join us for the reception on Friday, April 6, from 6pm to 9pm, or stop into the gallery during the month of April and enjoy the show! As always, the artwork is for sale and all of the artists hope that you might find something interesting to take home with you after the show is done!
